went out this morning did my 5 min warm up when i started running did not feel right more like a hop than run stopped immediately. Still feeling a bit of pain around the knee . will take a few more days rest see how it goes.

Sorry to hear that your out of action at moment. I had a similar experience and eased off a few days running at cycled static bike instead to adjust the knee tension and increased movement. I during that period I decided to invest in purchasing a.better training running shoes and knee supports... This had an amazing effect on correcting my running technique by supporting and cushioning the foot and all knee and leg joints and strengthen my ligaments. The hardest part of running for me now as a graduate 3 months gone is trying to keep your ear plugs in whilst listening to music . Another good investment was downloading the Nike running app on my tiny nano iPod, I can't fault it, it even monitors you walking and cycling. Brilliant!!
Sorry to hear that Ned , I know what knees are like . You are doing right Resting , I had to rest a good few days early on in the programme because of knee probs it does help a lot , hope alls well soon .
You must be so disappointed when you are so close but wise to listen to your body Hopefully feel better soon and back running
