Coping with dribbles !?
My nose always starts running after about 10 minutes even though it's not cold here, so I always take tissues with me. Fortunately the rubbish collection system here means there are strategically placed bins all the way round my route so I can get rid of the used ones on the way! When buying running gear I've always bought stuff with pockets - for tissues as well as my phone.
Apologies in advance for offending anyone...What I am about to say I have seen professional runners do on telly. It is quick (and dirty) but as I run offroad 90% of the time, I justify it that way.
Step 1: Use finger to block one nostril
Step 2: Exhale sharply from the nose
Step 3: Carry on running
H.
I tuck a tissue in my waistband.
Ew!! Lol, I refuse to ever deviate from tissues!!
If you get the 'one finger and blow' method wrong you'd probably regret it.
Check out the lightweight gloves sold to be worn inside ski gloves. They now have a little soft bit of material on the thumb on one hand, designed for quick nose-wiping on the ski slopes. Icky but effective. Mine are from Decathlon and cost around a tenner.
sleeves or gloves
hop_along's method is a bit extreme for little sniffles, in my opinion
The single nostril blow method is best - complete it and move on - or if you are competitive go for furthest distance achieved each time. Not that I've ever done that of course...
Once when I was out walking my dog, a runner passed me from the opposite direction and did the one nostril blow thing just as he passed me and it landed at my feet!
Now I'm no prude I promise, but I was pretty disgusted by it at the time.
Surely there's some unwritten running etiquette out there that states you shouldnt do it AT people?
