Do you know what? I think I can do this!! Now, don't get me wrong, it will be no walk in the park Im sure, but I really think I can do it! Week 4 run 3 today, so the much anticipated (!) 20 minute run of week 5 was, and is, looming large. I've flitted from, 'well if Laura says I can do it, then Im sure i can', to 'what the hell does She know' (*apologetic shrug and half smile in Lauras general direction), but I've just had a great run. Mapmyrun continues to disappoint so I have no idea re stats, but I do know that I ran faster and easier then before. i even CHOSE to carry on running at the end of the workout for an extra 3 mins, meaning I ran 8 continuously. Please, Im honestly not bragging, but Im just really pleased with myself and how far I've come (*little whup and high 5 to me!). Bring on week 5...you don't scare me! well, maybe just a little ; )...
Epiphany moment...: Do you know what? I think I... - Couch to 5K
Epiphany moment...
You will do it! WELL DONE for keeping going - plus an extra bit. High five to you and enjoy those feelings! Just think how good you are going to feel when you knock week 5 into touch - AND YOU WILL!!
yay! thank you Beek! Still glowing inside and outside a little too (very red face after my run!)
Well done, Week 5 was a real turning point for me, that's when I really started to think I can do this.......week 7 starts for me tomorrow
You know what? You're not alone in thinking WEEK 5 will be your downfall because we ALL thought exactly the same. But get this.......Laura IS RIGHT - you will do it. You just will. You'll have to dig in, but after the halfway mark you will KNOW you're gonna get to the end because that clever Laura has got you ready for it, bit by bit. And the feeling you will get afterwards will be astounding. So look forward to it. embrace the pain. Lap it up and you will succeed!
Of course it won't be a walk in the park........a run in the park is what you are aiming for....... and a bit of belief goes a long way to getting you through to graduation. Well done on your progress so far and keep those positive vibes going. Good luck and enjoy your running.
Thank you everyone. It really means a lot to get the support from folk who KNOW how hard it is to run, full stop, nevermind for more than a couple of minutes at a time! Hubby says, 'well done', but not sure he quite GETS it!!! Might get him to run with me next week. Only kidding... It'd probably kill him ; )
Well done you. I'm the least likely person to be enjoying running . Always last in sport related activities at school and now at 51 years of age I have just finished week 5 and feel amazing .
Keep it up and enjoy here's to a fit healthy life style I love it
I remember absolutely dreading week 5 run 3. On the day of the run I just thought, the program has worked so far, they obviously know what they're doing, so just get on with it. I must have looked a little demented as I ran the last 5 minutes of the 20 minute run with a soppy grin on my face. I honestly couldn't believe I was actually running for this amount of time. After that run I've never doubted that I couldn't complete a run. Not to say it hasn't been difficult at times, I just accept now my body can do it, even if my head still occasionally reminds me that 9 weeks go I couldn't run more than a minute at a time! Well done on a massive achievement!!!!!!!
