Just wanted to say Hi I only found this forum today but I am so glad I have.
I am on week 6 repeat 2 I started learning to run 4 months ago, I started going out once a week with my son for a run/walk but also wanted a structured plan I could follow on my own so started the C25K I am a very slow runner but hoping with time this will improve.

Welcome. The site is such a help, celebrating with you & spurring you on when you get despondent. I'm a slow runner too. That's one of the wonderful thing about it - all shapes & sizes, all ages & all ranges of fitness and everyone progressing. Just great.
Hello, Mummysaurus! Well done for getting so far already.
One of the good things about the forum is finding out that there are an awful lot of us plodders out there. The speed thing doesn't matter, it's managing to keep going for the length of time that's important.
The others are right: speed is not an issue, just completing the time and keeping the legs going! Good luck with the rest of the programme and keep us posted
Another plodder here! But on a good day i can now run for almost an hour without stopping. And 30 minutes feels like almost nothing, which I NEVER thought I would be able to say, especially at the start of the programme when 1 minute seemed to last for ever! A few minutes after finishing and walking home, I honestly forget that I have been running, so I guess that means my recovery times are quick. It's just such a beneficial thing to be doing, i find a run every second day now feels like just one of those routines like cleaning your teeth that you almost do without thinking. And I've been so lucky that often i can be fairly flexible on when i run, so have usually managed to find a window of decent weather - even yesterday which was mostly miserable there was a wonderful sunny break for about 30 minutes in the afternoon just after I went out. Keep at it Mummysaurus, the rewards are worth it!
Yet another plodder here (even though Laura says I'm a real runner now lol!). I think other joggers who pass me must smile. Anyhow, I'm on week 8. Keep going. It's tough, but I keep reading these posts and think, well, it must get better because everyone else says it does!
