Looking at pictures of the latest 'new me' shape and wishing I'd started it a year or months ago I don't know how long ago but ages ago!!
But then there were various things to stop me like a health condition.. And better late than never?!

Me too - definitely! I was unemployed a couple of years ago - a state I don't cope well with - and I think if only I'd had this then it would have added structure to my days and given me a goal. I also think of all the wasted years when I couldn't stick with any exercise and was convinced that I couldn't run so never even considered it as an option. But there - as you say, for whatever reason we didn't and it IS better late than never!
I feel exactly same way , never thought I could run , used to try but didn't have a clue about how to start out and used to end up wearing myself out and convinced myself I couldn't run. I used to see people running & I'd think how the hell can they keep running for more than a few mins , but now thanks to this programme I'm running for 20 mins something I never in my wildest dreams thought was possible ! Can't wait to graduate & I can quite honestly say this programme has boosted me no end I'm currently on wk6 r2 I'll be doing that tomorrow .
Back in the 80's, when I was much younger, slimmer and fitter, me and my now husband had a 'go' at running - it lasted for a very few attempts.
Sadly, we had no idea how to go about it.
This programme is great. I tried running myself a few years ago, I got half way around my local park and was exhausted so walked home. C25K's structure builds up both your confidence and stamina which had allowed us to go further than we would had imagined. If anyone would have suggested I run a half marathon this time last year I would have thought they were taking the mick out of me but here I am a year later having completed one.
I try not to have regrets but I may have been able to do this years ago.
I think they should take the C25K approach in schools! I remember being expected to be able to run but hated it, so have spent the last 40 odd years thinking I couldnt do it or any other type of exercise either. Over the last 20 months or so I have lost just over 6 stones, ( with WW), joined the gym and completed the C25K a couple of weeks ago just before my 51st birthday. Haven't been running so much this week due to awful weather and dark nights but out tomorrow for sure. Have also ordered a treadmill. I am determined to remain a runner no matter what!!!
Nice idea AJ, like it. This program is about teaching you something after all.
Oh I do too ! I was thinking that yesterday as I was trying on clothes with my pal and the things I tried on looked great... it's a shame I waited til 56 for that to happen- better late than never though
Had the same experience as AJ88 at secondary school. The expectation was we could all run for 30 minutes or so, and I couldn't. Even though I was very active and could do lots of other things, so that was the end of me and running. Hope it's different at school now !
I agree too, my experience is very similar to AJ and Lizzie, I am 54 and at school we were just told to run a cross country course no build up no instructions. Now thanks to C25K programme I am on WK6-R2 and will be fit enough to run around with my Granddaughter when she arrives next March.
