Woohoo, just popped on to change my email address and there you're are. Glad to hear you're still treading the boards, me too.
I'm here and delighted to see you, Delia. I'm still running, but am still injury-prone, so only running 3 times a week. I'm currently nursing a sore knee from a different sort of running injury - a bloomin' trip this time, rather than an overuse injury. Hoping my leg recovers before my next race - a duathlon in 2 weeks time.
Woooooo! Delia! Great to 'see' you. I'm doing 5x50 this year too. Excited and terrified at the same time. I've managed to run three times per week since the start of the year, thanks to doing Jantastic, and I'm hoping 5x50 will do the same to get me into doing other activities too. I'm signed up for a 21 mile bike ride in May (not cycled in ages, except 3K tonight on the exercise bike!) and the Birmingham Colour Run (in August, I think). Also plan to do a 10K run at Easter (my first race) but not properly signed up yet. Going to be an exciting year. Any plans to visit? xx
Hi Delia
How's it going in sunny Italy? Nice to hear from you. I haven't been on here for yonks but like you 5x50 brought me back. I've had a prolonged illness so have been off the running for nearly four weeks (eek!) but just think I might be getting the better of it now so hoping to restart soon for 5x50. Tati x
Yep 5x50 has brought me back on to HU.
Delia! How nice to see you! I'm actually signed up to 5x50 this year but life, she haz bit me in the bum so my activities are rather curtailed and basically I will be walking and running gently - I dislocated my shoulder a couple of months ago and it's not responding very well to treatment so all the swimming, gym, swiss ball, yoga etc. I was planning to do for 5x50 have gone out of the window! I suppose I could still wave one pompom though
All the very best with your running, and I hope you're still enjoying yourself xx
Hi Delia yes I am still up and about running. I had to do it on my own while Barry had radio therapy but he is back with me now. Good luck with your 5x50 I will follow it with interest. Pat
It's great to see so many of you back for 5x50. I do remember you for your kind words as I was doing the program last year. I am also doing 5x50.
Hi Delia. I remember we were doing bridge to 10k around the same time. Well, I never completed it and have never got to 10k. But this is my aim for this year. I'm doing 5 x 50 this year too, but am under my real name there. I still run 3 times each week, usually for around 40 minutes. I drop in to c25k just to read about people's experiences, brings back memories!! All the best.
Hi Delia, good to see you back and still running. Hope 5x50 goes well for you; I'm on there too. Regards.
Well hello my friend!! I saw your name just now when logging my activity on 5x50 and just knew that if I came here I would find you again!! It's lovely to hear from you and know you are still running and are part of the team; we miss you over on FB and I just dont come on here like I used to as its just too easy to go straight onto FB.....
Would be lovely to meet up again and maybe with some of others when you are over next to have a good goss!! Miss the old days......
Lots of luv and hugs xoxoxoxo
Its amazing how something like 5 x 50 has brought you all back together on here. Please don't stay away so long. Good luck to you all sorry I'm not joining you
Nice to see you again DeliaItaly xx and quite a few others too
I just happend to come across this site again by accident lol
I'm still running, currently training for the Karrimoor Great Trail Challenge 22k in the Lake District. Loving the hill trails
Golly gosh! Nice to see you too...we are all coming back by the lokks of it!
Hi Delia!
Great to 'see' you back and thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm a bit of a lurker on here and only post occasionally but I do miss the old crowd! Like you, I am not on Facebook which is where everyone seems to be these days. There's some brilliant bloggers on here though, from class of 2013.
Good luck for 5X50; I'd love to do it some year but for another 18 months I'm stuck with a demanding academic course so I just cannot exercise everyday, more from the organisational end of things than actual time contraints. Still, I'm entering the odd 5 and 10k as well as attending the gym; would really like to build my fitness levels up but keep getting colds which knock me for six sometimes!
Keep blogging; we're long overdue a lengthy blog about the male Italians' running physique!
Hi Delia. Still plodding on -not getting far!! Hope all is well with you. Linda
Hi Delia! Lovely to see/hear from you again! I am doing 5x50 again, have signed up for the Olympic Park anniversary 5 mile run in July (oh, and a hm in June! Eek! Better get off here and look at my training plan!)
Oh hello our old friend and back in the HU crowd. the old faces are still here and running well . I have just signed up for the Bupa woman's 10k in Glasgow on 11th May and looking forward to it.
