MR LEG AND ME.

Hi all,

It's been a while since I blogged about my running exploits - mainly because I haven't done any for three weeks! I'm really annoyed with my right leg and gave it a good talking to last night which went like this ;

"Now come on leg, what's going on in there?"

"Ahhh shurrrrrrup!"

"Don't tell me to shurrrup! I've trained you to run 5K in under 30 minutes you ungrateful ba/&**@!"

"Yeah but who was it that took a load of statins which everyone knows can cause muscular and joint problems"

"How was I to know that, leg? I've spoken to the doc, he's taken me off 'em so I'm doing what I can to sort you out"

"Well you'll just have to bloody wait"

"That's what's driving me mad. I want to get out there and put you and your twin leg brother to some good use running, but you're still bloody painful!"

"Well remember what happened last time? You went out and made me worse. So pour yourself a large one and stop bloody moaning!"

Well, I suppose that told me I suppose. Patience is something that I have never been blessed with unfortunately and my N.R.S (Non Running Status) is extremely agitating. What's more the season has changed dramatically since I was last out there - although I LOVE autumn, I'm shying away from a morning run in the dark.

Hoping that my fitness levels won't have dropped off too much by the time I get out again. I saw a few joggers out there this morning and actually felt jealous! HA!

Anyway folks, thanks for reading. I will be out there soon. You got that Leg?

Dan

You tell it, Dan. Can't let your leg get one over on you.

But if it's still painful it's best to wait. No point starting too soon and aggravating it (as I did a while back) - that just puts you out for even longer.

The clocks will go back soon so that should help the early morning runs.

Good advice thank you. Also had forgotten about BST ending, so that should work out good for me. Cheers!

You've got to assert yourself these days. Don't take any nonsense - from anyone!

Love your mad posts! Hope you are soon up to running - and keep away from those pesky statins!

so your body is telling you that you haven't got a leg to stand on as far as running goes - trick it by doing some walking and building it up to an eventual run.

hope you win :-D

That's a great idea AP, thank you.

Yes, I agree with alcopop, just start by doing some walking, that is the way to get out first, and then slowly build your running up again..good luck buddy!

Dear Leg kindy snap out of it and start behaving. We like reading Dan's posts. Without him we don't have a leg to stand on. So pull your toe out and, as the other one has bells on it get well and have our Dan running asap.
