I know I haven't done any posts for a long time. It might have gone on for ages more if I hadn't got an email from Health Unlocked that I stopped and read. It's not as if I have stopped running or anything. What caught my eye was the sheer number of fellow c25k graduates running 10k and HM races. How brilliant I thought. As I am three weeks from my first HM I realised that I might be taking part alongside one of us! (That's you aftabs!)
My training has gone well though it has been somewhat disrupted over the last month. My stamina is good and I am doing a comfortable 16k rising to 18k this Sunday. The thing I have missed out on has been developing my speed through shorter focused runs but I know what I am planning to do on completion of that HM.
Anyway, good luck to all of you. Thanks to anyone who reads this.
Happy running!

Hello James. Great to see you! I am as ever in awe of you and others who have gone so far as I am still struggling to get to 10K. But I will do it. All the best for the HM and do post whenever you can -- I am not so regular either as I do not find the new site especially conducive (imo) to proper interaction. Warmest, Delia
Hello, Janda, great to see you posting again. Like you, I too think it's brilliant to see so many C25K graduates competing in 10K and HM events. All the best with your HM in 3 weeks time.
Hi James, how are things? It's sounds like all is going well with you for the HM training. Mine's on Sunday, (eeek!) and I'm alternating between excitement and sheer terror at the thought of it. I have managed the full distance in training the weekend before last, but then a rubbish run for my 10K taper last weekend, so who knows what will happen on the day!
I think you'll find your times easily improve on the shorter runs from doing the distance running. I recently by surprise knocked 2 mins off my 5K time and after the race will be working on my 10K times.
Good luck!
Hi James, great to hear that everything appears to have been going to plan and that you are ready for your HM. Not long now just the taper. Enjoy
