Wk5 r2: Just did wk5 run 2 . Manged the first... - Couch to 5K
Wk5 r2
Well done you for finishing the run!
The main is that you didn't give up and carried off after a breather, you managed the first 8 mins so you know you can do it
Good luck for next time!
Thank u . Will try again saturday x
Hey - we're at the same stage. Just do it again. You know you can run 8 minutes because you did ! You'll be great next time. I'm doing w5r3 tomorrow - unless it is snowing !
Lol thanks. I hope your right. I was just so out of breath. Im going real slow to. Mind u i run along the sea front and was rather windy . I was on holiday 2 weeks ago and even took my gear an went for a run lol .good luck with your run tomorrow. Snow!!!!get your bum out there lol x
Im another week five lass! Just did run 2 with run 3 diasppointingly having to wait til Monday due to a full on Hen weekend. Think its hilarious that Im so keen to get back out there...5 weeks ago, I would not have envisaged ne saying THAT! I do this
premature submitting...sorry! ...what i was about to say was: I do think this week is more testing psychologically than in previous weeks. I found the second eight minute run really tough, but then CHOSE to run for a further 3 minutes after the podcast had finished, just to prove a point to myself. I found it helped to think of what people on here would say to me!! You can do it...keep the faith!
Thankp for surport guys
Im like u . Cant wait to get back out there. My husband thought i was mad taking running gear on holiday x
My husband is highly amused by the whole thing. (He was a runner at school but can't do it any more because of cartilage problems. My theory is that people who are too sporty in their youth use up their lifetimes allocation of cartilage.) He said the other day that if I really turn into a runner, he might need to go into therapy. The line "who are you and what have you done with my wife ?" has already been uttered. I did week 3 on holiday in Rome. He came with me and walked briskly - I pulled ahead in the running bits, then turned round and walked back to him in the walking bits... He was of course under strict instructions not to look at me while I was running. He did try to jog beside me a bit, but had to stop because he could feel it doing his knees no good.
Lol my husband is the same with his knees. Im off to bed as up at 6am to do run 2 again. I let u know how i get on x
