No idea why, it just was. Need to gather up all my resources for W5. Extra day to recover or not? Is it better to take two days, or just get back on track and go for it on Friday?

W4r3 - killer
Every single run could be singled out, by someone amongst those who have completed the course, as being their worst, I am sure. There are so many variables at work, which influence whether a run is good or not, that it is often impossible to pin down the cause of that terrible run that you have just had. It is worth considering, but not dwelling on. You did it, well done and often a good run follows a bad one. One of the commonest problems is just going too fast. So, if it feels difficult, especially with breathing, cut the pace. By W4 you will have already noticed your improved recovery rates, so just give your body a chance with all these increasing demands and slow it down and recover.
A good routine is useful to accomplishing the plan, but not essential. If you are still aching or feeling whacked on Friday, give it an extra day, otherwise push on and you will surprise yourself at how much your body can take.
Congratulations on getting to W5, and good luck with the rest of C25k. Keep us posted.
Many thanks for the advice.
Some runs are just like that. If you're still feeling tired, take another rest day, but you may find that you are ready to go on your planned day. Make sure you've been drinking enough water and that you're fuelled sufficiently, and take it slowly enough so that you are confident you can finish. I hope it goes well for you - let us know
Thanks for all your encouragement guys. I DID IT Back on track.
