Not sure from your post what the issue is, but maybe try to drop the speed a little. The longer runs as you start them are a test of two things:
Aerobic fitness.
Mental fortitude.
When I did the run I had the fitness, but struggled believing I could do it. Laura said I could do it and unbelievably I could.
If you have a heart rate monitor, then check your maximum. 220 minus your age as a guide to a maximum. If it is too high, then reduce the speed until you stay inside this. I am back after a break and my cardio is definitely what has suffered. I am doing the same and dropped from an average of 10km per hour down to 8 to keep my HR where I want it.
Hope this helps and good luck. Do the same run multiple times at the same speed and watch you maximum HR. it will decrease each time and you will be able to run longer or run quicker the next time.
I struggled with all the longer runs because I expected to go faster each time....Doh! Have now discovered the joys of running slower, keeping breathing steady and easy and getting into rhythm much more easily. The speed can come later. As shinjin says, there is a big mental component and being relaxed helps you to cope with that challenge. My advice would be ease off the pace a bit. You will do it.
managed 25 mins yesterday. Decided to run by the sea. Change of route seemed to work.
