Week four is done!

Hooray! After that awful week two, I never thought I'd get this far. I'm even more surprised that my shins appear to be getting better. I think the longer runs are actually helping them. Onwards and upwards to week five! (I'm having nightmares about the twenty minuter already!) x

Excellent - keep going, and don't worry about that 20 minutes. It's actually only 4 5-minute runs ;)

You'll be fine! Don't stress about that 20 min run, been there done that, and what a waste of nervous energy. As said above, it's only 4 times 5 minutes. Just go slowly, really really slowly. Speed up at the end if you feel like you must and have some extra energy in reserve, if not, doesn't matter, you've still got to the end!

Thanks everybody :0)

I thought I'd done my shins in again this week when I took my little boy to the soft play! Another plus: although I've put on 2lbs on the scales, I must be trading fat for muscle because I had to keep pulling my trousers up as a I ran. Shame my 'mummy tummy' is as present as ever and I still look pregnant lol (my boy is 2!) x

Give yourself a chance - you won't undo 2 years'+ of mummy tummy in 4 weeks ;-)....but posture is as important as anything, I'm sure running improves posture and strength all round. You will look better even though you might not lose weight. I haven't lost any, but like you, notice trousers are looser-fitting, and clothes generally feel better.

Well done. Try to distract yourself on the 20 minute run. Look around you & let your mind wander. I found this helped and of course starting nice & slow. Think how great you're going to feel afterwards. Nobody can quite believe they've done this run. Good luck.
