It's 3am. I'm back to not sleeping. Have had one nights sleep since Saturday. Had to tell someone, I'm going crazy!

Me too! for the last 3 nights - fall asleep on couch, go to bed, wide-awake. Been so humid here that I haven't been able to face running, so wonder if that's it - maybe I'm more addicted than I thought

I had a few years of waking up for 3 hours every night, but it was an 'age' thing and I am now fine. One of the benefits for me of getting older.
You can understand why sleep deprivation is a torture can't you? I have had prolonged months of a very poor sleep pattern. When I am still awake at 3 or 4 in the morning and my whole life is churning around in my head, I get up, find a big piece of paper and do a brain storming. I compartmentalise my life/work/hobbies etc and add in all the positives and negatives for each part of my life. Give that a try so you know the scale of what it is that is keeping you from sleeping and you can get off. You may not be able to fix any solutions but you know the scope of it all, which helps!
Hope you get some sleep very soon! Don't worry - you are not going crazy but it can feel like you are!
I have an 18 month old daughter and my sleeping pattern has been completely knocked for six! She sleeps really well now, and has done for a good few months, but I still can't sleep! It's awful! Lack of sleep is the worst thing ever - FACT! x
Thanks guys. I managed to get in to see a doctor today and shes given me a few low dose sleeping tabs so I can re-set my programming. I felt I'd be a danger in the car so I walked and have got an hour and a half excercise, which should help too.
I'm sorry to hear that you still have problems with sleeping. I hope the tabs will help you to sleep and to find your sleeping rhythm again.
