Asthma is bad now chest infection, guess I won't be running for a while!

I've been coughing since I got back from Tunisia so had assumed I had picked up a cold bug on the flight (its very common). Then yesterday everything went from bad to worse to desperation!! Asthma inhalers were no longer doing what they should do, spent a very long night coughing with no sleep hardly at all. Emergency appointment at the docs this morning revealed chest infection and course of steroids for asthma. Today I have spent back on the couch snuggled up in my lovely soft micro-soft blanket, spaced out from lack of sleep and probably exhaustion due to lack of breath for a change its not caused by running its caused by trying to breath while in a sitting position. Oh how I love it when I feel fit and healthy. So today I'm in a big bad black hole, but I will return, never fear.

I had to change my inhaler last year as the puffer type no longer had any effect. Been fine up until this weather changed.

Thanks everyone for good wishes. Hubby doing a wonderful job looking after this old crock as he always does. Made a big pot of scotch broth just like his mum used to make this morning and it went down a treat. Brain is smush due to meds and legs real wobbly but hopefully be sorted soon. Was very disappointed that I had to cancel my Parkrun duty felt I had let them down but would have ended up in hospital I think as it was raining cats and dogs this morning.
