Well, after a terrible week two (I did it though!), I was dreading week three. Sciatica, sore shins and a real worry that I couldn't do this. How wrong I was! I've just done W3, R1 and actually found myself smiling!
It's so much easier to get into a good rhythm and stride when running for a little longer and as soon as Laura advised me on not bouncing too much, I found it a hundred times easier. I have faith again!

HOORAY!!!! The wholly positive post.! You are having one hell of a time with your sciatica and shins but your determination is shining through. Most of us have found that as the runs lengthen your body settles into a rhythm after the first few minutes and that is the phase that you need to try to hang onto as duration increases further.
Well done RW, I hope your smiles get bigger and broader with each and every run. It does get easier your quite right as you go into the longer periods of running as you settle down and your body also begins to accept what you are asking of it.
