Thanks all....because I'm weighty and didnt take water I couldn't quite manage the last two 60secs. runs but hope to on Tuesday when its my 2nd planned run....been gearing up to this for a while thank god I've started
Well done Tessababy, you've just taken the hardest step, and you came out the other end. Don't worry about the bits that you didn't do, just concentrate on what you've done - and remember, it's more than you did yesterday or the day before. There will be some down moments along the way, but the high points will far outweigh them. Keep in touch with this site, and you'll do just fine. (PS I really love running in the rain now - makes me feel like a proper athlete!
Great that you got out there and did it! Welcome indeed to the best and most supportive group on the We've all been where you are today: first run nerves, puffed, beetroot faced, pained, in fact the whole gamut of weathers, aches and emotions have been shared on here! We have survived, and more than that .... enjoyed the journey through the programme and beyond! All the very best for the weeks ahead. Looking forward to hearing about your progress and we'll be cheering you all the way. Ps is that your grand daughter? What a cutie.
Take care, Linda x
Did run 1 today too. Hard, but felt amazing. Good luck! X
Well done and good luck to you! I've only recently started but can tell you it's a great programme. Give it your best shot, enjoy it and be proud of what you achieve. Good for you!
Welcome and best of luck. All runs are good runs however they turn out. Roll onto the next one.
Well done with first run and good luck with second I honestly thought o was gunna die after my first run but it does get easier good luck x
Well done for starting. Taking the plunge to get out there and do it is a huge step. There are a few mental hills to climb on the way, but stick with it this course really works. Nothing prepares you though for the satisfaction of just doing it.
You sound really positive about getting out for a second run. Before you know it you will be doing 3 minute runs, then 5 minutes, then.... who knows
I recently hit my target weight & someone in work said do you feel better for it. I said I do feel better but it's the running that's made the biggest difference in how I feel about myself. It does so much for you confidence. Stick with this site the - folks here are such an encouragement. They really are.
