Couldn't complete the run

Hi, I have completed all 3 weeks but found today really hard and stopped half way. Has anyone else felt this? I feel really demotivated at the moment. I will try again tomorrow

I think some days are just worse than others. Please don't assume your next run will be the same as today's. Out kn your shoes, get out there, take your time and see how it goes.

I am just about to begin week four and am a bit apprehensive about the step up so will be reading about your progress with great interest... So please post again and let us know how you get on. Good luck.

Thanks Lizzie, yes I will definetly update you tomorrow on how it went. A little nervous as I'm scared I won't be able to do it but I have to try... And try again if I fail. I will get to 9 weeks..

Don't worry, we all have bad runs. Usually if you have a bad run it's followed by a good one, so get out there tomorrow & give it another go - you just might surprise yourself. Don't give up!

I had a really bad spell around wk 5 and nearly gave up. So glad that I didn't though. Just put the bad run behind you - we all have them- and start again on your next run .

Make sure you are well hydrated, this tip helped me.

Whatever happens just keep going. The feeling you get when you graduate is so worth the effort.

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! Sorry for the capitals there....

I've been struggling lately. I graduated in June but of late have found my running difficult. That said, I ALWAYS go out and attack them and if I fail, I usually have a better one next time round. It's completely normal to have downers, but don't despair. Keep at it. Just do it (as that famous sports brand so cleverly say.....)

Haha thanks.. I definetly will keep at it. You graduated.... I can't wait for the day I can run for that amount of time.

I was exactly the same as you!! I actually repeated week 3 because I found it so difficult. Just finished the repeat week and definitely feel like I can move on to week 4. Everybody gets bad runs so I'm sure you will be fine and do brilliantly in the next upcoming week!!

I had a bit of a fail with week 4 run 1 - it felt like a big step up. But I had a rest day and did the run again and it went fine. Take it really easy, avoid hills if you can, go slow and steady, especially that first run - you will do it! Then come back and tell us about it :-)

Try and put that run behind you and stay positive. Positive mantras in your head may help. I used to feel very apprehensive and yes quite scared at times until nearer to the end of the program. Just start out slow and steady to conserve your energy. I used to go so slowly at times that I was scared I might stop but my stubborn streak and hubby kept me going. You will look back on that run and wonder what the heck. Good luck with your next run I will be willing you on

Thanks for all your support guys, after reading the blog I felt I could really do this! I went out all set to go and while doing the first 3 minutes I fell over because I missed a curb (LOL) and now am sitting with an ice pack in my swollen ankle. Can this week get any worse?

So I'm out for a week I guess... I hope I recover soon

So sorry to hear you hurt yourself. I'm about to go out and do the last run of week 4. I had a really awful run 2 of week 4 but am hoping that this one will be better. Get better real soon and keep your chin. We can do this :)
