29 done just 1 to do. Tomorrow is in memory of a dear friend from my hill walking days who died tragically yesterday, R.I.P. Carol.

Well the challenge of Juneathon is almost finished. I have exercised and blogged every day. Its been fun, its been hard work but I'm feeling quite pleased that I have managed it.

Tomorrow I have the biggest day of all planned. I'm hoping to walk/run around Loch Muich (pronounced Mick) its 12.5K/8 miles track all the way although about a third of it is probably not runable as its narrow, stoney, sometimes muddy and a drop of about 30 feet on the right straight into the icy cold waters if you lose your footing. The average time to walk it is 3-3.5 hours. Will just wait and see how fast these little short old legs can do it. I have my fingers crossed for fine weather, camera is charged and I'm just off to pack my rucksack as its essential to carry some survival equipment in the Scottish hills, even on low level tracks. The loch is overlooked by one of our famous munros Lochnagar.

Will mark this run in remembrance of a very dear friend from my hill walking days who died tragically yesterday in a house fire. She was only 51 years old and a mum of a 17 year old. R.I.P. Carol, this is for you and the good times we had all those years ago. :(

So sorry to hear about your friend.

Hope you have a good run tomorrow. I worked as a grouse beater on Glen Muick estate as a student and loved the area.

I read about it in the paper. So sorry.

I've never run with a rucksack. A friend has a small one which stays away from her back to let the sweat out. Enjoy the scenery. ENVY!

Well done on your first Parkrun this morning, I had intended going but the bad news rather shocked us all. You had a wonderful time too, well done.
