I went to get my gait tested to get some new sneakers, seems I over pronate and need some stability trainers, they cost the earth though, $269 Nz, About 136 pounds. I just can't justify the money (actually don't have the money!) don't know what I'm going to do...

Hi, I have same problem but wear a Trio Insole from a UK company Talarmade, got mine fitted by an NHS Biomechanical Podiatrist and they are brill, no leg or back!! Pain anymore, as I didn't realise my back pain was due to my gait, go engine search, much cheaper than new footwear, however I did have to go up half a size in footwear to accommodate the insoles..... Good luck

I have exactly the same problem. I had a gait assessment and my first set of trainers cost £95 but once I knew what I was looking for I found another pair in the same range online for £42. It did take a lot of internet searching to find a pair in my size that corrected for overpronation but it is possible. The website I used eventually was a UK one called sportshoes not sure if they ship internationally though but you could check it out. Hope this helps.

I'm coming to Europe in a few weeks so am going to wait til then. Everything costs so much more here (in Nz) thanks for the advice though!
