Well, partly thanks to the encouragement here I staggered round my 'run' this morning.
So with streaming red eyes (I hadn't worn contacts for months) I left home and set off - isn't it a great feeling of freedom - no handbag, no money, just me and my phone. I must admit that midway round I cut 2 of the 1m running intervals to 30secs, I was out of breath. I don't know as I can slow down much more when I jog though, without standing still!
Crazy weather this year - I had to wear a long sleeved top under my t-shirt, it was so cold - and it's 1st June.
I can't say I enjoyed the actual running, but the feeling of achievement now is a real high.

Well done I just started yesterday I almost took a rest and the pod cast (Laura) said "you only have 2 more runs to go" which kept me going lol. It was hard work but hopefully it will be easier next time.
Well done for keeping going even when you are out of breath! I'm going out later today for the first time since January, and I'm going to have to start from the beginning again.
I have to say that I loved running. Not for the actual running, sometimes even when in the swing of it I didn't want to go. But I loved the sense of achievement. I realised I could actually run for a whole minute - it doesn't sound long, but it feels like forever when you're starting out doesn't it.
Good for you for getting out there. The first step is the hardest, but Laura is really supportive and it's good to know how much more there and, and then that feeling of having made it to the end is a huge achievement! Keep up the good work.
Hi jillie100. Really really well done. We are all totally in this together and I felt exactly the same otherwise I'd never have put those trainers on but for the encouragement on this site.
The sense of achievement is the best feeling. Also, and I don't know if this is in my head, but I felt different - somehow able to cope better.
