My lovely 10 year old daughter, Ellen, joined me today with a 45 minute swim. We did plenty of races and she won every time! Ellen gave me a few technique tips and I got a thorough workout it's tough keeping up with these youngsters! It was great fun, and we finished with a hot chocolate. A day to remember.
Now just three to go!
Thanks for staying with me folks, I do appreciate it.

I did a 7,75km run yesterday for you; week 1 run3 with daughter followed by Stamina and a little bit more... Been up since 4.40am today, had beginnings of a migraine at work (flashing lights, took tablets to stop it) but still feeling a bit yuk now; have the dog staying for weekend so may take her for a wander in a bit...
Hope the migraine doesn't come back The fresh air with the dog might help; I hope so, the evening is beautiful here, sometimes it's the best part of the day.
Thank you for your support and encouragement x Take care tomorrow x
I've been out in the garden most of today - did some yoga outside, and then lots of activity - housework indoors (my next challenge started!), tidying up garden paths and clearing rubbish out of the shed. So no running, but we've got visitors coming tomorrow, so I'm pleased with my efforts today, and quite sure, from the back-ache, that I've done well over a 5k equivalent, even if a bit unorthodox.
I'm on half-term now, so hoping to do some running during the week. I really need to get back to it!
How lovely. I was really tired last night and nearly wimped out but managed to do 30 mins of yoga/stretching. I was hoping to parkrun todaybut we had last minute emergencies with daughter's toilet needs and lost keys so it didnt happen. However I went out myself and had a really good solo run of about 6k which tbh I was probably more in the mood for. I had Born to Run on for the first time which made me smile hugely. We ARE!
Did a lovely 5k run this morning. I woke with a headache and also very tired so didn't think it would go well but it turned out to be a great run! Funny isn't it how sometimes those good runs come when we least expect it?!
Today I did an hour long yoga/Swiss Ball/stretch band exercise session in the garden. I had the yoga mat on the grass under perfect blue skies and cherry blossom. As I lay flat on my back watched the house martins darting about from the trees to the house and listened to a chorus of siskins, finches and blackbirds. Wonderful.
Then late afternoon I did a 6 km geocaching walk with hubby. We had a visit to the beach near Cromarty, timed to coincide with low tide so we could walk and scramble over rocks to find a cache hidden close to a cave that is only accessible at the lowest tide.
What a lovely photo of you & your daughter. And that's so great that she's supporting you on the challenge & pushing you further. I'm still here doing these last few days. I did a parkrun yesterday - a PB of just over 34 minutes (Yayyyy!) tho' as usual second last, that is when I'm not last!
A Parkrun PB yippee!! Well done! Goodness your park run seems to have fast times Sadly my park run is 30 minute car journey, so I've only done it once. Thank you for your continued support x
