W3 R2 and hungover, it's a bit windy... looking for excuses

My hangover is sapping my energy and enthusiasm. Excuses whirling through my brain include; it's really windy and cold, I've already had a shower so to have another is a lot of water usage, I'll go tomorrow instead, etc!

I know I should go, but yet I still haven't!

Hope the drink was worth it? Now, now then .... get on your running gear and wander outside. Start your walk and listen to lovely Laura wittering away - she's harmless enough :) Then you just may feel inspired to have a little jog when her music gets a bit pacier. If not, nothing lost, just continue your walk and enjoy the weather, be it rain or hail (we've just had more hail!), or breezy sunshine. Think of the outing as a head-clearer ... no need to work up a sweat today if you're less than 100% ... and it's a wonderful 30 minutes all to yourself, no pressures, no conversations - just you and your surroundings. Then tomorrow or the day after you will be able to attempt another run.

Next time you are out shopping, get some Berocca - big vitamin C tablets which make a fizzy drink, boost your vit C intake and really, really do help with hangovers. :D

Hope you feel better soon. Linda x

I made it! Just back as the heavens opened. Did it all as instructed by Laura, feel really proud of myself and better for it. It was HARD, but then I have, each week, found the 2nd run hardest. Suffered with a stitch halfway through, but kept going and it didn't come back. Thank you for the encouragement, it was exactly what I needed and I'm so pleased I'm keeping the pace of progress up.

And I'm not sure the drink is ever worth it for me!

Soooooo very pleased and happy for you ;) :) :D

Yep, R1s are ok, cos your system isn't sure what you're gonna throw at it, then along comes R2 and it thinks, ... uh oh, been there, not sure, didn't like it, gonna give her some grief ;) By R3, your own mind-over-matter domination will tell your body to stop whinging and get on with what you demand of it! As the meerkats say, simples! :D

'Tis now pissing down here too ... Gotta love summer, eh? Take care and keep on making good progress through the programme - it works wonders. X

W4-R2 was a bit of a struggle!

Not quite as smooth tonight and definitely did not enjoy my first 'soggy' run but I did it anyway!...
