Well, oldish anyway. But I didn't try the spider etc, I just sang the song under my breath as a distraction from the sensation of fly in the throat (song took 0.3 km).
As I've not been outside much this week (letting my sore face calm down a bit), I thought I really should get out and run, as it wasn't windy any more. Decided to do the mile run from my house to the edge of the village, as fast as I could. On Saturday it took me 12 minutes. Today - just 10 1/2 minutes - and it felt fine - no horrible heart pounding, or gasping for breath! My best running ever. Happy me!
Then I did some cooldown walking, but after about 3 minutes I was ready to run again! So I did - another 16 minutes, at a good pace for me too. It was in the middle of that, that I caught the fly.
Anyway, maybe for me, doing shorter runs for a bit, and plenty of rest days (yoga days) is just what I need to build pace. It was a real bonus to enjoy it so much too!
Slow and steady can speed up eventually, perhaps.

I've done some intervals bits since graduating, and am gradually speeding up, but have wondered about going back to the start of C25K and re-doing the whole thing (or at least the first few weeks) as an intervals plan, with slow/steady pace for the walking bits, and fast running for the run bits. It won't be for a while, if I do this, since I've just started a different workout plan on RunKeeper, but I guess it ought to work...
