Hmm. I've been looking at my stats for April. Yeah, I know, nerdy blokey thing but if you don't keep records how do you know how you're getting on? And I discover that if I run 9.3K tomorrow and the same again on Tuesday I'll have done 100K in April. Hmm, now there's a thought, or possibly even a challenge.
Is it do-able?: Hmm. I've been looking at my... - Couch to 5K
Is it do-able?
Of course it is, OldNed. I'd say Go for it... or at least run tomorrow and see how you body feels, then decide.
But what's this about it being a nerdy blokey thing to keep/check stats I'm not a bloke and I checked my stats on Garmin Connect this morning. I'd set myself a 'Goal' to do 100km running for April and 150km 'mixed', ie cycling, walking, running. I passed the 150 km Mixed ages ago - due to a couple of long cycle rides - and was delighted to see my running total is now 113km for April
Now, the question is what do I set for goals for May? Garmin shows a wee graph showing '% completed' as you go through the month.
Oooo - that's a lot of running! Good luck if you decide to go for the 100 in April.
I'm with swanscot - it's not just a nerdy blokey thing! - though I will confess to being nerdy - I lurrve my stats - even though they're way way behind you two whizz-kids! About 28 km running in April, which isn't a huge amount - but it's 28 km more than last April!
Gotta love those stats! Garmin tells me I've done a very meagre 12.12 miles running in April. Although that is only over 5 recorded runs. *bad me* I guess that gives me a target for May - double it!
woah! 100km in a month, that's some big numbers. Go for it. Like Swanscot said, do that 9.3km today and see how you feel... although If that was me and I could see I was 9km away from doing 100km in a month, then it's a no brainer!
I'd love to see how you're fitting in that sort of mileage. I was going through a stage of fitting around 20(ish) km a week but then I injured myself so had to rest. Now slowly building it back up.
Also loooove my stats.
Hi mrq. Running pretty much every other day is the answer to how I fit it in. Being retired helps too, so I don't have to fit it in around work (although there are plenty of other distractions!). I also said at the start of the month that I'd do a minimum of 30 mins on each outing. Apart from the very first one, where it was so freezing cold I only did 9 mins, I've stuck to that.
