I. would like to purchase a air purifier can anyone please advise me on the best type that I should buy .

A lot depends on your living environment, like one room or whole house, do you have pets, ac or swamp cooling etc. I have read that people with COPD should NOT use ionizers because breathing the ions can irate your lungs. And charcoal filters are better than hepa or at least get a combination of them both. So it might be better to research based on your needs. I have a one room purifier with charcoal and hepa filter, no ion mode and the brand is Levoit. Its a mid range priced unit - around $100 USD. If price is no object then go for the whole house ones - about $5,000.00 USD.

Well there is one called the Atmosphere Mini if you are more focused on using it in your smaller areas, however if you are interested in larger one there exists a larger unit
