Hi greengoddess17

I was diagnosed with copd Jan 2013,, 5 and half years ago and i use just the blue top has and when ventolin inhaller and that has been really good for me.

At the moment i still just use the ventolin in the evenings before i go to bed i have just one puff has i get a bit short of breath and wheezy and that makes me feel much better after about 5-10 mins so then i can sleep better and when i wake up in the mornings i have another oine puff of my ventolin for the same reason.

Sometimes now if i go outside and its a bit cold or windy and i go for a long walk or bike ride i am finding that i get short of breath and very wheezy then again just one puff of my ventolin inhaler and i am fine after a few mins.

I do feel that my copd is slighty getting worse has seem to use my ventolin a bit more often but at the moment just one container of my ventolin can still last me 2-3 months.

That is me. BUT i know everyone is different with this copd

also with me i find the key to this copd is to keep has active has i can and when i can

Best wishes and good luck

Hi Redsok

Must admit i get confused about the the umbrella term between the 2

I know i do have copd and not been looking after myself has well has i should with this copd

I do have a few small red wines and maybe a beer most evenings and i do have a e-cig i puff on.

But i do walk about a lot and sometimes go on bike and swim,,eat friut during the day cod liver oil every morning but not sure if that is helping me,, so i try to look after myself a little but maybe not enough.

I do know with me that keeping active walking swimming and things, do and is helping me

I can still walk 3 sometimes 4 miles on a nice day with no breathing problems

I seem to get more breathless and wheezy in the evenings

best wishes
