Hi everyone - I am stage 3/4 - 32% lung capacity. No oxygen. I had my first scare with an exacerbation that lead to my first ambulance ride. I am struggling with phlem that is stuck. I'm trying everything and cannot get this glue like phlem to cough up. On prednisone, NAC, Humidifier, albut. neutralizer, flutter valve, hot water with lemon, mucinex.

ACK!! I cant stand this! My O2 is all over the place. ranging from 84-93

Any other suggestions?

Hi I was in the same place just after Xmas. Respiratory nurses advised Saline nebuliser. After two goes my phlegm was a lot thinner and easier to get up. My nurses lent me a nebuliser machine for 2 weeks then I bought one from Amazon. I don't know where you are or if you can get the same help from your health care provider but believe me saline nebuliser really helps loosen your phlegm and if you are using Ventolin already you can get that in liquid form to put in the same machine. X Good Luck and best wishes hope that this helps you clear your chest xxx

Thank you Patsyann24. I do have a nebulizer and use it daily. I will def ask my pulm. doc tomorrow when I see her about the saline. Makes total sense! Thank you again.
