Pain in the upper back

Just wondering if anyone has pain in their upper back because of copd. It comes and goes put is very painful. Have arthritis in that area but the doctor said that would not cause that type of pain.

I only have back pain when I'm on Prednisone (steroid) and I stand too long.

Thank you for your reply. I wish it was that simple. I see my doctor in a few weeks maybe he will have a answer.

i get pain that comes and goes....doesn't last that long so i just deal w/ it.

Yes I have excruciating pain in my upper back that comes and goes, no idea what is causing it and the GP doesn't seem interested. The pain radiates right around to the front and takes my breath away. It only happens 2 -3 times a month so I have learnt to live with it. x
