In hospital once again

It seems my yearly visits to hospital have been condensed into the last three months , it seems one week at home equates to about 11 days in hospital , phew what a pain , treated for infection even if one isn't obvious but my last stay was really not pleasant, mcmillan nurses came to see me ,which wasn't a pleasant surprise but I'm home eager to get at life again but perhaps aiming to high on what I can and can't do . I recently ran into an old friend from 50yrs ago ( old flame) who opened my mind and eyes to my illness and life situation , thank god for her 🙏. Now I am more realistic on my capabilities and limitations , I guess I'm saying that no matter how long or how much we suffer from copd there is always a time when we can recieve help from the most unlikely of places and ppl. I had not seen yhis person for over 50yrs and we managed to find each other .

I now am more open again to life and I look at copd as something that will have to cope with me and not vice versa .

If this post has gone on too long I apologise but the new outlook on life and ppl has opened my eyes ,, I hope you all have a breath easy day and no matter how you feel the days can get better .

Good luck and best wishes as always dave x

You definitely have the right attitude . There is always someone worse off. We must be grateful for what we can do and not concentrate on what we can't.I wish you a long and happy life. Lots of love ❤️ xx.Sheila

wonderful post and a great inspiration the way I look at life is I might not do as much in a day as years ago but I have no pressure to do more so I just try to chill and go with the flow of my breath. It’s fantastic that you have found your inspiration and I hope and pray this is truly the turning point for you. Paul

Inspiring post, thanks. I guess these challenges crop up from time to time and it sounds like your resilience has gotten you through.

Sources of support do indeed crop up from unlikely places-I recently met friend at walking football with COPD so we regularly share experiences.

And yes let’s all hope for a ‘breath easy day’.

Your post was so interesting and congratulations on finding you friend for over 50 years. I like the positive way you said "COPD has to cope with me" and not the other way round. Wishing you all the best and take care 🤗
