Brother very unhappy

My brother is very unhappy right now he broke his ribs, most of them and they tried putting a metal plate with screws to put them back in place it didn't hold and additional ribs were broken. The problem is they are now putting him on pain management in an attempt to get him off his pain pills he has to sit in a chair most of the time because it is so painful for him to move, he says he has no quality of life. He had to get two shots in his back to block the nerves. He doesn't want to get high he just wants to get up. I realize we have a drug epedemic but it seems wrong to take pain medication away from someone in so much pain.

I know right? I don't understand why they can't fix it, my niece has had both knees, hips and a bone replaced seems like they should do something for him. Coughing is the worse for him...

Combination of things, she would be running around without saying anything to us, she would decide to go somewhere or to do something, before we could move!

At the time, she thought that she was being funny, but, she was determined to do something without asking me or dad, if I was in the shower or toilet, she would use this as the chance to move, she would fall, because she was racing around and she would lose her balance.......woosh! Crack!!!

I have to remember this whenever I am in a hurry to do something, and all the people I have met, irrespective of their profession, constantly telling me to slow down! Too!

It's hard when you are on your own, because sometimes there are things you need to do now! Not tomorrow, my carer knows, because she doesn't moan when she comes over & there is a mess to clean up, she knows that I have been racing around.

I am sorry about your mom. My mom said I walked around like a farm girl which I had no idea what that meant but pretty sure I wasn't racing! I too don't get alot done but it is because I am breathless. My son lives with us and helps mostly with shopping but some household stuff. I have him help me put sheets and stuff on my bed as it leaves me breathless I do wish he cooked!
