About 10 days I noticed a lot of rectal bleeding . It only lasted 1 day. I have had chronic constipation and I have had to strain a lot on get bowel movements I am on daily laxatives.

I did have a colonscopy a year ago and everything was fine as I was experiencing a different issue but I have been told that you do not need a colonscopy for 5 years.

I have also had a CT pelvic scan in November 2022 and everything was fine. I did also do the FIT test in February 2023 and it was clear. My blood test are clear.

My GP said it could be just the constipation and told me to keep an eye on things.

I also did have a MRI of the Pelvic area at the start of June 2023 as I was experiencing symptoms of a fitusla which was negative. I though that MRI of pelvic area would of shown bowel but apparently it does not show it up well however I was wondering if any masses would still show up.

Hi Anxious210,

Thanks for posting with us. Do you have an update?

Masses should show up in a CT scan with contrast. The CT can't see everything and the colonoscopy is something that usually is performed as well. I get both those annually as a part of my surveillance procedures.
