Hi Namkia,

Thank you for posting on Colon Cancer Connected. I hate to see you are having to deal with these issues. It is my understanding that when you have your gallbladder removed, it has to be associated with a whole new way of eating and getting nutrients. Your ability to digest fats and absorb certain vitamins and minerals definitely changes. I would think that after you have a surgery like that, there should be a follow up with a nutrition expert in that area of having to deal with the new way of eating. These types of questions would best be put in front of your health care provider. Perhaps they can point you in a direction to get you some good information on what you need to be doing.

I see that there are many YouTube videos about people living without a gallbladder. Doctors talk about the increased strain on the liver and the overall ability to digest certain foods. It looks to be a necessity to approach eating in a whole new way. That is just one aspect of having your gallbladder removed.

You are also seeing symptoms that include pain. That is something I would definitely get checked out by your doctor. Things like that should not be ignored. And I don't think what you're experiencing should be diagnosed as just being a cause from having gallbladder surgery. I know gallbladder surgery can cause some things like diarrhea, constipation, bloating, nausea, and indigestion. And a lot of times it is because of what you're eating.

I would think the best thing to do is to get back in front of your doctor and explain what's going on. There should be some tests they can run to help determine what's causing the pain and also may be able to point you in a direction to get you the information you need about living without a gallbladder.

We do wish you the very best in getting answers. There may be some other people on this site that have had a similar experience and can give you some helpful information. We do hope you get this solved quickly and get on a path of being well.

Thank you,
