Hi,

I dont know how i ended up here bit iv had blood in my stool for 3years now not long after i found out i was pregnant so couldnt have planned colonoscopy.

Then baby was in nicu so things were crazy before i knew it i was having baby number 2.

I have no other symptoms apart feom ocasional bloating and i have a healthy diabetes friendly diet.

I have been back to drs qfit test positive as expected the other one to look for inflamation was ok

Im worrying myself now of what it could be iv been constantly on iron and folic acid for 3 years because of this bleeding

Im also worried about the colonoscopy not so much the procedure the prep o have to travel 1hour 20 to my nearest hospital and its rural country roads no toilets

Hi Lillyjay10,

Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected.

Congratulations on the babies. I hope they are doing well and you are enjoying them as much as possible. That is awesome. 👍❤️🤟🤟❤️

I hate to hear you are going through all these issues, but I'm proud you are doing the number one thing and that's getting answers. The bleeding is a sign and that's why your FIT came back positive. That shouldn't be a surprise.

Let's get you to that colonoscopy. That's important and will provide many answers for you. You have an hour and 20 drive to the nearest hospital. I assume your doctor gave you some prep for the colonoscopy. Because you have to travel so far, move the prep procedures up 2 hours before you have to leave to go to the hospital. This should allow you to mostly finish your having to "go". Just don't eat anything or drink anything of color. Bring some water to sip on if you feel thirsty. Your need to "go" should be minimal at this point. For insurance, bring a small bucket and put paper towels in the bottom incase you need to pull over and "go" ... just in case 😳👍. And bring some TP. Best to be prepared. Don't worry what other people may think.

You are after answers and the colonoscopy will go along way to doing that. Please focus on that. Don't be worried. You need answers!!! You'll get them with this colonoscopy.

We wish you all the best. Get that colonoscopy and the answers you are seeking. Please let us know how it turns out. The information may help others in similar situations.

Thank You again!!!
