Just reached MRD and can stop the V pills in a few weeks. Woo hoo!!!! Since a trial unfortunately a 3rd Bone Marrow Biopsy. Ugh - but soon to be pill free. It will be interesting to see if I feel different after stopping the meds.

Congratulations on stopping the V pills soon! I stopped taking them recently, and at first I kind of missed downing them with breakfast. I don’t feel any difference otherwise.

What were your markers? IGVH, Tp53, ATM etc?

Think I'm an unicorn, IGVH un-mutated, ATM del, SF3B1 var and to top it off atypical.

I was unmutated too. So many options that this is ok now a day! Don't worry, unicorns are lucky, sparkly, and fun.

Good news for you, for sure! I wonder why they would do a bone biopsy if your blood tests indicate uMRD?? My docs told me they would see me in 6 months for a followup and that was it. My next appointment is in November.

Gardengirl44 profile image
Gardengirl44 in reply to DanBro1

they say because it's a very aggressive trial and it ends with the final BMB and body scans.

Congrats! I just learned I'm MRD- two years after finishing the V.

I didn't *feel* any different after stopping the meds, but I sure did enjoy my first grapefruit.
