Just had my monthly telephone consultation with my consultant and after 9 months on Ibrutinib and 9 weeks now on venetoclax my WBC and lymphocytes are normal. He said that at the moment this can be considered as “being in remission” and to just keep on taking the tablets!

If I had a bottle of champagne in the house I would open it 🍾

Thank you. For the first 3 months on Ibrutinib I gave up meat and alcohol - the latter being a big sacrifice! And after that I gradually reintroduced them although still only have meat 3 times a week max and have greatly reduced any alcohol. Not sure it contributed much but I felt I ought to try to be “clean living” 😂

My bloodwork on I and V got there about the same time as you They checked my bone marrow at 12 mo and it was negative

Thank you. I stopped Ibrutinib after 9 months as it was affecting my sight and then started Venetoclax so not been taking both at same time. Congratulations on your results too.
