recent immunotherapy trial results

In reading the recent immunotherapy trial reports it has me worried and it makes me wonder if my husband will go into remission...He is doing very well (with no side affects) in a Dana-Farber study (he is on Acalabrutinib- since March and Obinutuzuimab IV (last dose in August) and Venetoclax). The DF support team said my hubby will go into remission (est 14 months). He has an other bone marrow biopsy scheduled mid- September and we will find out how his body is fighting his CLL. I am trying to be hopeful and trying not to worry. Your thoughts and prayers are welcome too.

I'm sure he will respond very well. Having read about others here, a lot of people go into remission in the second half of the treatment so don't be disheartened if the results are still showing some disease in September.

I started O+V in July and I would love to have perfect numbers now and I wish all my nodes were completely gone 🙂it needs time but we just want to be healthy ASAP, don't we. All the best to your husband.

Wow, A+O+V - your are throwing the kitchen sink at the CLL. Don't worry, he'll be fine 🤞🙂

Will do - last time before the O&V were added to his treatment- his Cll dropped from 90 to 60% throughout his body.

Having not started treatment yet, I can’t express enough my gratitude for your posting about your husband’s journey, I fear treatment much less because of these posts.

I had O and V and in March I found I was found to be u MRD. Although I have to admit my logical brain cannot convince my emotional brain that it “CLL” will not return in short order. I don’t know why but I guess it’s just because I’m a worrier.
