LDH Results

I have been on impruvica since April 13 and after 4 or 5 months it was helping my blood counts . This past November 12 I needed mohs surgery to remove basil carcinoma cancer cells on the tip of my eyelid . That surgery was successful . However I needed reconstruction surgery on November 16 for my eyelid which I had to stop my Imbruvica 5 days before and 3 days after the surgery so I just resumed the Imbruvica Imbruvica November 19. On November 20 this past Friday I had my follow up with my hematologist and my LDH went up from 220 to 660 . My Hemoglobin however improved from 101 to 125. My white blood from 9.5 to 20. I still didn’t get my neutrophils or lymph node report which maybe was forgotten but for now the big change is my LDH. So my doctor will see me again December 18 and will have blood work again. Doctor thinks the change due to sopping Imbruvica for the eyelid surgery .

So I wonder if anyone can shed light on my LDH? I should note that on November 12 I had an attack of Diverticulitis which I suffered for 12 hours and my gastroenterologist prescribed 2 anti biotics Ciprofloxacin and metronidazole so perhaps all this could impact my blood counts and the stopping of the Imbruvica before the eyelid surgery.

It will be interesting to hear from other members about how their LDH changed, when they had blood tests after stopping Imbruvica. It could be that's what's causing the increase, or indeed the diverticulitis or a combination of both.

Look forward to a much lower test next month,

Neil
