After my daughter25 years sll patients had taken the first dose of FCR the glands in her neck responded and Her size reduces and then returned to inflation again before the time of the second dose Is this normal

Has she had a review by her doctor before her second dose? They need to know about this.

That was not my experience. After the second day of FCR my nodes in my neck were gone and didnt return. Contact the oncologist to discuss. 🙏💕

My nodes shrank after the first dose of FCR and did not return. One has just popped up, but it is about a year and a half after FCR. Like others have said, I would definately inform her CLL doctor.

Mine were huge and the week before FCR I had steroids and they shrunk to almost nothing. Following week I had FCR 1st dose and they are still very tiny. 2nd dose due Monday and so far everything is going well. Lymphocytes dropped from 480 to 219 after I dose of FCR.

I imagine her lymph nodes were really swollen everywhere?

What was her ALC or lymphocyte blood count pre-treatment?

It is not known why the tumour cells reside mostly in nodes with SLL presentation..

I'm SLL presentation too. My lymphocyte count rose in the month before treatment, from 16k a month prior to 40k ..then steroids were started after major PE occurred, and by start of treatment my nodes had shrunk, but my lymphocyte count was 270k -- the timing pleased me: it seemed that my tumour cells were unmasked (pushed in to the blood stream) at the precise time BR treatment began, the better that they would be killed.

The key is to inform her treatment team and have them give their answers (and hopefully suitable reassurance) before treatment cycle 2.
