Hi,
My dad is on day 2 of cycle 1 of FCR.
Should he expect hair loss? If not, great and if yes then how long did it take for hair loss to occur?
Thank you

Not normal to lose hair with FCR. I was concerned about the barber accidentally cutting me with scissors when I was first diagnosed. So from about April 2012 until some time in 2014 I never had a hair cut. Some people on here that I met face to face during that time will remember me ending up with a pony tail.
One Friday morning I went into town while my wife was out with the dog and had it chopped off (the ponytail not the dog). Wife was somewhat surprised and barber was really worried about likely reaction.
As far as hair goes people should notice no difference.

I started to loose more hair when shampooing and brushing during cycle 2. My hair is very long. I cut down shampoo to once a week. During the last 3 cycles new hair has grown at the same time but not the same colour. Only I know the hair is thinner because not major. I did in cycle 2 become allergic to Septrin and I do not know if this contributed.
Love it when you tell people you are having chemo and the first thing they do is look at your head to see if it's a wig.
I've still got mine after 3 cycles. A bit thinner but just as messy as usual.
The C in fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, rituxan (FCR) can cause alopecia... hair loss or thinning, but it rarely does....
