Be positive

Evening everyone - as usual this place gives me a lift - so much help and support from everyone.

I'm reminded that a year ago I was mid FCR (6 rounds) and feeling awful. This evening I ran 10kilometres in 52 minutes as I train for the Westminster 10K that I am running in support of CLLSA. My overriding feeling therefore, is one of positivity - and I firmly believe that this will mean that my blood test result later in the week will be positive too!

Good luck everyone!

Crikey . 52 mins

I am also doing the run for CLLSA . I’d be happy with double that .

I need to do more training!!

Doing a 5k race for life to see just how rubbish I am . It will be a fun day

Hi Gail - I found a really good 10 week plan on the Vitality Health insurance website - really builds you up gently. Good luck, see you on the start line

Go Matt ...

Well done you ... 10K under an hour is good going

... ( although after 6 rounds of FCR I don't know what they'll think if they pull you over for a sample ! )

I used to love to run.

The only exercise I get nowadays is when I 'jump' to conclusions.

Keep up the good work.

Agree totally.. It can overwhelm your everyday life.. But live with it not it with you. Excellent work on the training... Brilliant actually! Good old Fcr!!! Similar to me.. 2 years just about start treatment.. Main difference is I can't claim to being super dooper fit!!!! Good luck!

Matt, your post put a smile on my face and added a positive zing to my day. What brilliant news!

Best wishes for a spectacular Westminster run and for your future blood work. I am in the US, but I cheer on all CLLers wherever we live!

Wishing good days and good health to all.

Really thrilled for you, Matt! And well done on your 10 km run. It's been 1 year since I started FCR (6 cycles) and whilst I'm still neutropenic, I feel fantastic!

Best wishes :-)
