Last week of treatment! I made it through all 6 rounds after Friday. I sometimes feel like I struggle to stay focused with my thoughts. I have read about chemo fog, but really wonder how long this will last.
I still feel a little apprehensive about what to expect. Acoording to my hematologist I will stay on antibiotics for 6 more weeks and follow up with a bone marrow biopsy. (not normal but this was how my CLL was diagnosed)
My WBC count has come up to 3.0 (which is low but normal for me for years) and ANC is now normal.
I will try taking loratadine (Claritin) today and for the next few days to help with the discomfort of the Neulasta. Perhaps even taking aleve for the weekend coming up. (this is the worst part of the treatment is weekend following therapy) I typically end of calling off to work on Monday due to the extreme fatigue and discomfort.

Thank you. After this weekend, I'm on the road to recovery.
Well done. Recovery is slow but everyday you will feel better. Chemo fog takes its time but a new world once it goes. All is not perfect yet take care of your health but enjoy and start to plan your new lease of life.
