Awesome! So very glad for you! I had the same happen to me last week. I have only been diagnosed since October, but it was a relief no doubt!

So pleased for you too, with the watch and wait it's so hard as we never know what we're walking in to on consultant days. It's always in the back of your mind is time for treatment. But I'm also very aware there are so many people in a far worse position and that often makes me feel guilty for thinking that

Have others experienced this? Diagnosed Oct 2016, went for my 1st blood draw in Jan. My wbc was 9.9, well within normal range. Hasn't been that low in 2 years. When I asked my Dr what it means....all he could say was I still have CLL. What kind of an answer is that? So confused.

Sadly CLL is incurable and spontaneous remissions rare. All you need for a CLL diagnosis is a monoclonal B-lymphocyte count (part of your WBC count) of over 5. There are many different white blood cells in our WBC and each type can vary up and down with changes in our health (infections can increase or lower them and allergies increase some of them). Due to these variations, CLL specialists don't bother tracking for doubling time until the lymphocyte count exceeds 30 (roughly corresponding to a WBC of 35 to 40).
