Teated positive for covid 10 days ago. Received bebtelovimab day 1, felt pretty crummy for about a week. Feeling somewhat better now but, still a bit weak and upper airway congestion. Pretty solid red line on a rapid test this morning. Hoping to clear this virus soon. But, looking like it might take a while more.

Still Positive
Sorry to hear you are ill, hoping you clear this sooner rather than later. Please remember to swap out pillowcases daily if possible, and leave a soapy water film on handles/surfaces commonly touched, to help minimize re-infection viral load. Airing out bed comforter/blanket, or putting in a dryer on plain air cycle, will also help with this.
I tested positive for COVID 3 weeks ago, and was prescribed 5-day Paxlovid (stopped Ibrutinib for 8 days). The first 3 days were shitty, but after that I slowly started feeling better. I finally tested negative for COVID today.
Wow, so three weeks to get negative. Are you on any CLL medications?
Yep, three weeks to get negative. Same for a friend of mine as well. As mentioned I felt crappy for about 3 days, then had nausea for the remainder (nasal rinse helped) Yes, I went off Ibrutinib for 8 days while taking Paxlovid per clinician instructions, (Paxlovid is a 5-day course but impacts the body for 8 days), but resumed Ibrutinib after the 8 day period without any problems.
My husband was still showing positive with a very faint line after 19 days. He is on treatment with O+V. His anti viral drugs didn’t arrive until the end of day six so he decided not to take them. He is now pretty much recovered thankfully.
Praying you get past this soon!!
I didn’t test negative for covid until the other day and test was about a month since I tested positive and 20 days after the monoclonal antibodies. For the first two weeks, I used paper towels after washing hands and gloves so I wouldn’t be re-infected by others in the house. I also used antibacterial wipes to clean surfaces we all touched once a week. In addition to cleaning sheets, using air purifiers in the house.
Thanks WhittyApricot. I’m pretty much isolated. The other family members have already recovered
I’ve lingered in the symptoms—-like breathing isn’t great—-still using inhalers, cough meds and congested. It is just slower to recover—but I’ve been like this for years. I don’t get sick very often but when I do it is intense and lingers for sometimes months.
