Does anyone know of any interactions between Imbruvica and tart cherry capules, or Imbruvica and Arnica Montana. Tylenol is doing nothing to relieve any type of pain. Thanks for your help!
Imbruvica and tart cherry capsules, or Arnica ... - CLL Support
Imbruvica and tart cherry capsules, or Arnica Montana for pain?
You should ask your doctor or specialist pharmacists that supplies Imbruvica (ibrutinib).

Thanks. I'll call the pharmacist. I just thought someone on this board had taken it before with Imbruvica.
For my Imbruvica caused pain my Dr. Put me on Plaquenil ! It has worked wonders! It takes about 2weeks to kick in. You will be very surprised no side effects.
Dear bluenet,
I have taken tart cherry extract to help me sleep rather than go the sleeping pill route. I must say it did seem to work and since it comes from tart cherry juice there was no down side for me. You could also just drink tart cherry juice or eat the tart cherry fruit if it is available in your area. I would always recommend buying supplements from a reputable company such as Nutrigold. Arnica was prescribed for me by my plastic surgeon. He was a top doctor in his field and he told me that it helped the bruising from surgery go away quicker. I must say that that also worked well. I do not know about the help with pain but for me these were very gentle with no down side at all.

Thanks. I just didn't know if they were OK to use with Imbruvica. I hate taking prescription drugs, and would much rather take natural things, but with cancer I have no choice. Right now I have a back injury and am seeing a chiropractor and I have a lot of pain. I do not like taking pain pills either, they actually give me a headache the next day and they are not good on my system. Trying to find something for pain. I usually buy brand name supplements from Solaray, Solgar, and NOW brand.
Dear Bluenet,
I know what you mean once you get cancer it feels like everything is out of control a bit. I have never taken imbruvica because I am still on watch and wait. I hope someone else can answer your question that has had this treatment. Surly your doc must have found out that arnica and tart cherry helped with pain from somewhere. I am like you I want to stay as healthy for as long as I can. My parents lived to be quite old and had a good quality of life. My dad died at 95 and his dad at 98. Neither one of them took any daily prescriptions but they stayed very active and interested in life. I think prescriptions can be a godsend when you really need them. Yours is a good question. We need to partner with our doctors. I would ask him even if you have to call his nurse.
Kathy
Yes. I will. It's just that most doctors here in the US aren't schooled at all in herbal treatments and I don't think pharmacists are either. I would rather try a herbal treatment before an OTC or Rx. We'll see.
