Holiday insurance companies.....

Hi there, I'm in ireland here. I've compensated cirrhosis for the last four years. I've been very lucky that, I've very few symptoms, as hard going they are. But I cannot find travel insurance anywhere. Not even a high cost plan. Any UK companies anyone can recommend. We are just doing a 1.5 hr flight to Paris. My oedema is currently well controlled and I've been on a beta blocker for the last 6 years. I go for appointment every 6 months and it's stayed the same, for the last four years. My consultant has said my cirrhosis is well controlled and I've never had a GI bleed etc. He has said that 2hr flight should be fine as its well controlled as did my gp but I would like to get insurance that covers cirrhosis. I hv the usual insurance which covers all, except cirrhosis. Does anyone have anynames/numbers of insurance companies that would cover same? Many thanks......

hi the BLT site has a list of insurers I’ve just returned from Barcelona and had insurance with Staysure they cover cirrhosis

Same problem try links on martyns money I got offered 115 to France but USA 3K AGGHHH! NOW GOT A USA AT 1500 SRI LANKA 600 JUST KEEP SEARCHING GET TO SPECIALIST SITES

i USE all clear I think they put it through Zurich insurance mine was £1800 for both of us worldwide including cruises

My husband has stable, compensated cirrhosis with no symptoms and he got insurance with Staysure when we went to Greece last year. Applying on line was very straightforward and cirrhosis is a condition you can select from a drop-down menu. I think it then asks whether you have oedema, varices etc. I hope you manage to find cover. Good luck.
