I would like help in finding out the best health & travel insurance companies as I am looking to book a holiday abroad. I am a post transplant patient with other health issues. I would be most grateful.

Dear Kate,
The Trust website has a link which may be helpful. Also worth asking your transplant coordinators whether they know any companies.
I have found Staysure to be the only one willing to insure me including my diabetes and cirrhosis. Not cheap but as I love myholidays worth it. If you find one cheaper could you let me know please.
We've used covercloud for our for the last 3 years through cirrhosis and post transplant - they have always seemed reasonable.
Good luck and have a great holiday.

I use SAGA.
I have a Nationwide Flex Plus account which includes travel insurance as one of the benefits. It is provided by UK Insurance. The standard product excludes pre-existing conditions, but if you call them and declare your medical history they may be able to include them for a fee. So in my case, three years post transplant, plus a number of other medical conditions including high blood pressure, they charge about £140 per year for an annual worldwide policy that covers me, my wife, and two teenage kids. Organising it was easy enough, but I have no experience of trying to make a claim, so can’t say how good they are when it comes to the crunch.
I would like to say thankyou to everyone who replied to my question on insurance companies..
