I was diagnosed with cirrhosis and extensive thrombosis of the inferior mesentric vein about two years ago. I love travelling and would like to have information on insurance companies that provide reasonably priced cover for both conditions

Dear blaenguy,

I hope you are feeling well?

We have a list of insurance companies, who may be able to help, here at the trust. Please could you provide me with an email/ postal address and I can send it to you?

Alternatively, if you email me on Sandy.forsyth@britishlivertrust.org.uk I will reply with the details.

Kind regards

Sandy

This question was answered well by a few people a few weeks ago. Don't know how you search back questions though

Good morning Blaenguy

My name is Rachel & I work for Free Spirit Travel Insurance. We were the first travel insurance scheme of its type and we are one of the UK's largest specialist travel insurance providers for clients with medical conditions or disabilities.

We have no upper age limit on single trip or Multi trip policies and we will endeavour to cover the majority of medical conditions including the conditions you are requiring cover for.

If you would like to call us or go online, we will endeavour to provide you with the peace of mind insurance cover you are looking for.

I hope this information has been useful to you.

Kind regards

Rachel

Dear Rachel

Thank you very much for this reply I appreciate it. I am presently working in a hospital in Bangkok, but will perminently return to the UK early next year. I intend to travel to the far east (to keep contact with old friends and for the warmer weather) regularly.

I will keep this information and contact you soon.

Again many thanks and I look forward to contacting Free Spirit Travel soon after my return.
