Me too thanks Lindar1961. It's frustrating going through test after test and they cannot pin point wahat causes this terrible pain.

Hi Jojokarak. What do you use to relieve pain. How was your condition diagnosed? The pain have been there now for a month and I never had this before? It just sits there. Localised to just under ribs right side and into hip and sometimes I feel the pain pressing against my back right side.Yes it feels exactly like J have kicked under ribs and it also feels like soneone has placed a baloon under ribs. I feel swolen and blown up. I woke up this morning and as soon as I got up I felt the dull pain again. Sometimes stinging pain. Like someones poking me with a knife.

I use buscopan but that's usually when the pain first begins... How are your bowels? Stools? Wind? .... I couldn't tell you how I was diagnosed I was a baby...

My bowels are windy, bowel movement suddenly changed about a month or so ago to diarhea just after I have eaten. It has stabilised abit maybe because of change in diet in this last week but for 3-4 weeks I had to run just to make it in time and sometimes I do not make it in time. Cramps after eating. No blood in stool . But this constant pain right side under ribs into the hip and sometimes moving to my right side in back doesn't go away. I tried Buscopan, Bevispasm. Now trying Peppermint oil tablets. Also colon support holistic pills. I should see Gastroenterologist in the next month or so for colonoscopy. Thanks for replying.

Hi Salome is the pain all over or quite localised to one area? Ive had bowel problems and ibd since I was a child but I had quite localised pain in upper left side a couple of years ago, they thought kidney stones but it turned out to be a diverticular(a hernia in bowel muscle wall which got Infected/inflamed), it hurt a lot, couldn't lie still. You can get these in any part of bowel I believe. Hope you're tests go ok and throw some light on it. Xxx

Hi Stacie33. It started early Feb and it's on right side just under ribs and into side. It's stays on that specific spot/s. They ruled out appendix, galbladder, liver and any other mayor organ but they didn't check colon for IBD or IBS or colon cancer. Although liver is fatty due to me being overweight- there are no signs of liver having scirosis. I can still reverse fatty liver with the correct eating plan. I have lost about 8 kg. Now on 97,7kg. I have a hernia but that pain I get in the middle of ribs and I know how that feels like. But this pain is a constant dull pain and then it intensivise. Please tell me you got meds or something to get relieve. When I eat it's not 5 min then I have to run to toilet. I'm now using colon support holistic meds and peppermint oil capsules but it doesn't help so far. I'm cutting out food that makes gas. Dr gave me anti inflam pills but it also did not help. Its veen a month now but the pain is still there.

Hi Salome, they gave me antibiotics to deal with the infection, I only get the odd twinge from it now. It's when the little hernias get infected it's called diverticulitis and they hurt bad,the pain was constant then and at times intense. Mine got spotted on ct scan of abdomen and the inflammation levels in my blood were sky high, touch wood it's not flared up again since. They may have already looked for it but I thought I'd mention it as you said pain isn't easing. The IBS is just something I learned to live with, used to be bent double with wind as a kid Dr just gave peppermint oil, diflucan I think? but now I just try n avoid certain foods I know don't agree with me. Unfortunately I think both my girls have inherited my awful bowels, both have bother ☹. I hope they can shed some light on it for you at the colonoscopy, I think it will. It sounds like it needs a good looking at in there if they've checked everything else. Well done on your weight loss too, its hard work but it can only help. Xxxx

I have IBS and diverticulitis, very painful! Hope you get sorted very soon. Take care Lynne xx

Hi Lynne. Please let me know what treatment you are following to relieve the pain. Is it curable or is it something you just have to manage? Is the pain localised in a soecific area and is it constant? Thanks for replying.

Hi

The pain for IBS and diverticulitis isn't there all of the time but I do get alot of pain. Im on mebeverine/colofaq for when it gets really bad Asif helps with the spasms. It doesn't help having Nash, fibromyalgia, osteopenia which could turn into osteoporosis!! Also have gastritis. I'm on umpteen pain killers, just take the edge off a little bit but I do get immense pain all over. I hope this helps s bit. Take care Lynne

Sorry to hear Lynne. It amazes me how many people struggle with intestinal and stomach problems.Sometimes I think its all the stress we put ourselves under and obviously food.
