Hi, 3 days ago, i made an ultrasound. And result: 2 Gallstones. Both of them 5,5 milimetres.( 0.216 inches )
Also 4 milimetres some(0.157 inches) (2 or 3 pieces ) colestrol cristals.
I went to 3 doctors. 2 of them (General surgeon) said, laparoscopic surgery. Other one (Internal medicine specialist), he is also my close friend, said, you use try ursodoil. I am 31 years old, male, not obez or not thin. Also i dont have any pain, ultrasound was for just check other side of my body ( all things good, beside Gallstones)
Should i try this medicine? Or surgery?
I am confused, because very little Gallstones can stuck and make bigger problems. For example my Gallstones are 5.5 milimetres, and when i use this medicine. They can become smaller and stuck?
I hope, we all get well soon. Also sorry for my bad English.

Im currently in hospital with the same but i have psc. Narrowing of bile duct.
I would follow your GP’s advice after all as im not medically trained but as far as i know removal of gall bladder is straight forward and ive not been advised of complications as its too close to liver at all.
How are you feeling today Ritesh? I hope you have visitors while your in hospital. Are you having an operation. I hope everything goes well for you. your in my thoughts. get well soon. 🤗💐💐love and warm wishes. grace xoxo
I had got discharged yesterday very late at night. Im waiting to hear from a surgical team to remove my gall bladder as i have lots of black pigmented stones keep blocking my bile ducts so it definately needs pulling out. Meantime i’ll be starting a low fat diet and eating low cholesterol types of food.
But unavoidably i will require a liver trnsplant in the near future which im really scared about.
I get lots of support from family amd friends but its still a worry with endless thoughts running at the back of head daily. Just really anxious and at times a little stressed to say the least.
Otherwise im all well. Look perfectly healthy and just want ro get back to a normal life. God willing with a healthy diet i will be ok for the short term.
I can understand how worrying it all is. There are many successful posts now from people who have had a liver transplant but its only natural to be scared and stressed.I really pray it all goes well for you. after i got my gallbladder out i felt so ill and i had to change my diet and i can hardly believe the difference in my life. I couldnt digest meat any longer and i had been eating a lot of ready meals as i was ill with other things for a very long time and had not been looking after my diet at all. It must be coming up for 6 months now that iv changed my diet. i start the day with grapes pomegranate and blueberries. im so gratful about getting my life back as i spent so long either in bed or sitting in the house. Im feeling so much better than i did. Its a miracle thats what i feel. life is so much better. I pray that it will be for you. im so shocked that a diet change can do so much. I also get support workers 2x2 hours a week and thats a big help too. I hope that you not in a lot of pain with those gallstones. all my best wishes to you. love grace xoxo
Hi Grace. Are you in pain after your gallbladder was removed? I was on a lot pf pain pre op but no pain post op. My friend was still in pain post op and it was discovered that a stone had lodged in the bile duct. She had to have further surgery after to remove the rogue stone and is fine now. Take care. Deb
hi debbs i was saying for almost 2 years after getting my gallbladder removed i felt sick every day. not really in pain. i was on anti sickness tablets for a couple of years. it was on and off. i had different things bothering me, i was saying that since i'v changed my diet things have improved drastically. i had a big operation and had to have a new bile duct as the stone had calcified inside it. it was called mirizzis syndrome. I had a stent in before that. i had the odd week or so that i was fine but then just felt so ill again. i was 65 when i had it removed. it had shrunk to the size of a thimble and was stuck to my liver also 1/4 of my liver had atrophied due to the infecions. i was in and out of hospital on drips quite a lot beforehand. i met a woman in hospital who had had her gallbladder removed 40 years earlier. she was in her 80's and was all yellow. she got another stone and it was in her bile duct. iv met a few woman who had stones after their gallbladder removal. my bile duct was made from bowel tissue and is attached to my lower intestine, they are hoping if i get any more stones they will pass through. oh i hope not. im enjoying good health at the moment and take nothing for granted. thanks for asking. love grace xoxo
my gallbladder was stuck to my liver. it had shrunk to the size of a thimble and 1/4 of my liver had atrophied. I had one stone 3cm and it was in my bile duct and had calcified. i had to get a 5 hour opertaion called hepaticojejunoscopy. this was getting a reconstucted bile duct from bowel tissue and the new bile duct was attached to the lower intestine in case i get anymore stones. that was 2 and a half years ago. GPs dont really know much about the gallbladder as its a specialist who deals with the gallbladder.

Are you having any pain? Im sure they will keep an eye on you if you take the medicine. Im older in my late 60's and i know quite a lot of people who have had thier gallbadder removed and its been nothing but pain and problems since. If id had a choice i'd have kept mine but i had none. if astone was to go into your bile duct im sure you'd have plenty warning with pain. if it was me i'd try the medicine first. I know your the one who has to make the decison on what to do but its good to have some people experience's first.I think the older a person is the worse they'r affected afterwords with problems. obvioulsy down the line you may need to get it out. It all depends on if your having pain and how you feel now. all the very best on what you decide. love grace xoxo
Please try reading this book ive brought which helps understand the liver. Also with certain types of food and drinks you may be lucky and need no surgery at all.
From my understanding from what i have read gallstones break down wirh certain foods and drinks by itself.
