A dark run !!!

I woke really early this morning (5am) and it was very dark still. Managed to stay in bed till 7 then I was up and out it was still dark and I decided it was too dark to run out of the village so went down into the village towards the river. Took a left turn to go through the new housing estate and saw some lovely Christmas 🎄 and lights. Then went right through the churchyard and on down to the river. It was really cold on the road down to the river as it’s beside the village green and there is no cover so as it was windy it was also cold. I decided to turn back at the river and then walk/jogged my way back home. A different route for me so I really enjoyed my run today. Now need to wrap some Christmas presents 🎁 🎄🎁🎄happy running or rest well.

Nice run for you this morning Scruff55, this is the darkest time of the year, where I live in Central Scotland on a dull day the lights go on at 3.30 pm and don't go off until 9am the next day, may I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful running year for 2025

Thank you Al. Yes I’m just 9 miles from the border and it is definitely the darkest time of the year at the moment. However it is also the most joyous time of the year and I would like to wish a very happy Christmas and best wishes for a great new year in 2025. 🎉🎄🍾🎉🎄🍾

Yes it was a great uplifting run. Not a new route but I hadn’t done it for quite a while. So a seasonal change. Best wishes for Xmas and New Year.
